Spanish Teacher Training Course

ELE stands for “Espanol como Lengua Extranjera” (Spanish as a Foreign Language)

This course is specifically designed for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language or those interested in beginning a career in this prosperous educative sector. The objective of this course is to provide you with extensive didactic material and practical objectives for you to competently manage your future Spanish classes/teaching.

• Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language

• Teachers who want to update knowledge of Spanish teaching methodology

• Persons who are interested in starting a teaching career

• Persons have an intermediate or advanced level of Spanish (Min.B2)

Objectives of ELE Training Programme:

• Provide the teacher with the necessary resources to revitalize their classes with new technology

• Reflect on the needs of students and familiarise different tools to engage students

• Discuss the best strategies to encourage oral participation in the classroom

• Consider intercultural importance within teaching/learning of ELE

Methodology of the course:

The course has a practical focus, with objectives that can be applied to the classroom to ensure that the learning process is dynamic and interactive. The participant teachers will discuss theoretical elements that will serve as guides. It is an interactive course that allows participants to share and debate over diverse experiences and techniques developed through varied teaching styles and the benefits of each. The course is designed to allow in depth discussions on a variety of topics relevant to the classroom through a moderator who ensures achievement of conclusions.

Course consists of 3 modules and a Final Project on which the participants will be evaluated:

• Theoretical ELE

• Practical ELE

• Cultural Immersion

• Final Project

Participants who successfully complete the ELE Programme will receive a Certificate at the end of the course.
